Today we are filming our interview with James Dalby, ex student at UWE who is now working as an editors assistant at the BBC alongside his freelance work. We’ve had to work hard to get our interview preparation ready for today as it was the only day he is available for the next two weeks. Unfortunately, we are unable to rent out the panasonic 101s as they are being used for a workshop today and tomorrow meaning we will be using personal DSLRs to film the interview. Although at first this seemed an annoyance, we are using it to our advantage as we can get a more shallow depth of field by using different lenses.
I have completed the risk assessment and rented out the tascam sound recorder and compressor mic to record the interview. We have arranged transport to pick James up from his place of work at 17:30, we will be set up in the library ready to go by 18:00, culminating at 18:30.
